Kris and I packed up the boat and some food and headed out to find some water to play in. We didn't have to go far to find Beech Fork which was a nice little lake.
So the next day we decided to head out a little further to Summersville,WV and see what we could see. We were very excited to find Summersville Lake. It was so nice and quite and mountains all around us. It was a little cool and decided not to take a swim. We enjoyed the area so much we decided to camp for 2 days using the truck to house us.
We were told that the lake drops 80 feet in the fall for white water rafting enthusiast. We knew the lake was deep but an 80 foot drop. My goodness! The water was an emerald green we were told it is the cleanest lake in the US. The water was so clear we could see about 20 feet down.
We also saw some neat water falls along the route up and back from the lake.
