We have seen some beautiful sites on N I86. There has been a winding river keeping us company on a nice stretch of the trip. We have seen many deer feasting on the side of the road. There has been a couple of beavers eying us as we past by.
We have been blessed for the rain has held off. There is signs it had been raining along the highway.
We stopped at a rest area where it over looked the Chautauqua Lake. This Lake dumps into the Gulf as the Erie dumps into the Atlantic. Charles Welch of Welch's grape juice had his vineyard near by.
Travelers had to us the steam boat or fiery to cross the huge body of water until the bridge opened in 1982.
We stopped at a rest stop in PA where a monument was erected over the spot where 37 miners lost their lives at 460 feet in 1962.
